Decision
Following an assessment of the project against the Ministerial Guidelines for Assessment of
Environmental Effects under the Environment Effects Act 1978, the Minister for Planning has
determined that the plant will require an Environment Effects Statement (EES).
The Minister for Planning has requested the Minister for Environment and Climate Change and
the Environment Protection Authority refrain from making any decisions in relation to the plant
until the EES process is complete.
