Green study needed
ON SATURDAY a mother humpback whale and her calf enchanted sightseers at Cape Paterson on the Bass Coast. They were travelling west, heading directedly towards the site of the proposed desalination plant.
And Victorian Planning Minister Justin Madden still can’t say if an environmental effects statement is required.
I guess he knows that a whale will not get sucked into the 200 millimetre mesh covering in inlet pipes… unlike that other poor little sea dweller, the fairy penguin.
